Based in Dublin, Ireland, Corcoran Consulting & Forensic Engineering provides material testing, analysis and consultancy services, such as Expert Witness in cases of litigation or insurance, corrosion testing and advice, contamination analysis, and quality control testing.
Using a full range of laboratory analytical equipment, most materials can be examined or tested to elucidate and resolve issues, typically in litigation or insurance claims, or technical issues in the industrial or commercial sectors.
A wide range of test methods and equipment may be used to establish scientifically-based facts, including paint film testing equipment, powder testing equipment, viscometers, overhead mixers, pH and conductivity probes, thermocouples, analytical mass balances, and more.
Using metallography techniques, samples can be prepared using a precision high speed cutter, encapsulated in cold-setting mounting resin, then ground and polished by an automated grinding and fine polishing machine for microscopy or spectroscopy analysis.
